Dr. Robert Szuchy, Ph.D.
Managing Partner
Dr. Robert Szuchy is the Managing Partner of BSLAW Brussels and an internationally recognised legal expert in energy law, commercial law and EU regulatory matters. He combines more than two decades of professional legal experience with a strong academic background, providing strategic advice to corporate clients, public entities and international stakeholders in complex cross-border matters.
His practice focuses on European Union law, energy regulation, corporate and commercial law, project finance, public procurement and regulatory compliance. Based in Brussels, he regularly assists clients in navigating the legal and institutional framework of the European Union, with particular emphasis on the Danube region, Central and Eastern Europe, and cross-border business operations.
Robert is also a university professor and serves as Vice-Rector for Education at Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary. His academic work and professional practice are closely connected, allowing him to provide clients with both practical legal solutions and a broader strategic understanding of regulatory, economic and institutional developments.
As Managing Partner of BSLAW Brussels, he is committed to delivering tailor-made, business-oriented legal advice in an international environment. His work is characterised by precision, discretion and a deep understanding of the interaction between law, policy and business in Brussels and beyond.

Dr. Gábor Baranyai, Ph.D.
Senior Consultant
Gábor is a specialist in EU law and decision-making processes.
As a former deputy state secretary and Coreper I ambassador of Hungary, Gábor has obtained in-depth knowledge of the inner operations of EU institutions. His principal fields of expertise include internal market, climate, energy and environment policy.
Gábor has been with BSLAW Brussels since 2022, advising clients on topical food, agricultural, environmental, energy and banking legislative files and relating influencing strategies. Specific topics include waste management, concession contracts, state aid, food law, etc. He was also substantively engaged in the roll-out of the Savings and Investment Union and its various implementing dossiers.
Gábor also works as a part time academic focusing on EU environmental, climate and water law.

Ms Chloé-rose Galea

Chloé-rose is a student completing her master’s degree in European law with a specialization in European affairs at the University of Bordeaux. Her areas of focus include European policies in general.
She has recently gained expertise in energy, finance, and the environment but remains curious about all areas covered by European law. She is committed to being efficient and detail-oriented in her work every day. Through her participation in European initiatives, she navigates multicultural legal environments with ease.

Dr. Pál Belényesi, Ph.D.
Partner
Pál is an experienced lawyer with over 22 years’ of professional experience and proven capabilities in international legal, business and strategic consulting for private entities, international organisations, and independent national authorities.
His academic background in law and economics and behavioural science-based policy-making has helped him build a reputation as a result driven professional. He has pursued a career in regulatory enforcement practice within the European Commission’s DG COMP and DG Research as a multilingual negotiator with experience in Europe, Asia, US and the Middle East.

Dr. Ágnes Szilágyi
Of Counsel
Ágnes is a highly experienced specialist in EU law and institutional decision-making. As a
former Antici diplomat, legal adviser and competitiveness attaché at the Permanent
Representation of Hungary to the European Union, she has gained extensive first-hand
experience in the functioning of the EU institutions.
Ágnes graduated in law from the Faculty of Law of Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest and later obtained a Master’s degree in European and International Business Law from University Paris-Dauphine in France. She also studied at the University of Liège in Belgium, focusing on EU law.
During her diplomatic career in Brussels, Ágnes worked extensively on EU internal market, competition, public procurement, company law, financial and taxation matters. Earlier in her
career, she represented Hungary as an agent before the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg, where she also completed a traineeship in the cabinet of Judge Endre Juhász.
Ágnes joined BSLAW Brussels as Of Counsel in 2025, advising clients on energy, concessions, state aid, banking and financial services files, as well as related regulatory and
advocacy strategies.
